Abita Blues debut album, Louisiana Crude is a dirty blues portrait of down and out characters, late night odysseys, and Louisiana Crude, in every sense of the word.

From folksy, acoustic blues to wash board grit, Louisiana Crude is a tribute to southern back yards, bars, ditches, and bathroom walls.

The Band

The Abita Blues Band can be found playing their special brand of funk and blues at festivals and clubs around Louisiana and beyond. Part swamp boogie, part delta blues, and always funky, Abita Blues keeps 'em coming back for more.

On The Road
We Recently returned from Disney’s Epcot International Food & Wine Festival as the premier band representing Louisiana at the grand opening of the Louisiana Exhibit in Epcot.

Other venues and festivals that they have visited include the Mandeville Seafood Festival, Jefferson Parish Family Gras, Crescent City Classic, live broadcasts on WWOZ and RADIO HOLSTEBRO in Denmark, Tab Benoit’s Music Café, and Ruby’s Roadhouse, to name a few.

The Sound

Abita Blues has a number of original songs, such as Junkyard Dog, Blue Tattoo, and Dance in Your Slip that are quickly becoming favorites with fans. The set list also includes their own version of traditional blues tunes, including Red House, Crossroads, MoJo, Hey Pocky Way, and many more that incorporate the street beats of New Orleans Funk and warm tones of Delta Blues
